29th ANNUAL TURKEY TROT 5K

The proceeds from this year's Turkey Trot are being donated to Cape Coral Hospital's Emergency Room 
expansion project.  These funds will be used to help equip new pediatric treatment rooms in the expanded 
ER.  Cape Coral Hospital's emergency room sees almost as many children as The Children's Hospital's 
emergency room in Ft. Myers, yet there are currently no dedicated emergency pediatric treatment rooms at 
Cape Coral Hospital. The new Weigner Taeni Center for Emergency Services at Cape Coral Hospital will 
contain 3 pediatric rooms for children.

The run begins on SE 6th street and Del Prado Blvd in front of the Cape Coral Hospital.  The route continues 
down SE 6th street to SE 13th Court and along residential streets and back to the Cape Coral Hospital 
parking lot near the Wellness Center.

Parking is available in the Hospital parking lot.

Temperatures/humidity can be high in South Florida. Participants should drink plenty of fluids (non-
alcoholic) for 48 hours prior to, during and upon finishing the race. Beware of heat-injury symptoms 
(dizziness, no sweating, nausea, cramps, redness, incoherent speech and thoughts). Seek immediate 
assistance if symptoms occur. Wear loose, light-colored clothing.

A commemorative T-shirt to all registered participants.

A variety of food and drink will be available for participants.

This event is being timed with the AMB Chip timing system. All chips MUST be returned to the 
volunteers at the finishline or you will be billed for $80.00.

Childern 10 years and younger will complete a 100 yard sprint to the finish line.
All Particpants will receive a ribbon and a t-shirt.
