Rotary/Do the Right Thing - Eggs, Ears 5K Run/Walk - Fun Run

The race/walk starts at Westlinks Drive in the Gateway Community, off Daniels Parkway.  Follow the signs 
for Daniels Parkway (I-75 exit 131)  Westlinks Drive is one mile East of I-75.

The course begins on Westlinks Drive across from the DSI building and winds through the beautifully 
landscaped residential community of Gateway.

The race begins at 7:30AM

Run / Walk & all the pancakes, sausage & juice you can eat.

A 1 mile fun run will be held for kids 11 years old and under.

All children participating will receive an award ribbon.

6:45 am on Westlinks Drive across from the DSI Bldg.

Temperatures/humidity can be high in South Florida. Participants should drink plenty of fluids (non-
alcoholic) for 48 hours prior to, during and upon finishing the race. Beware of heat-injury symptoms 
(dizziness, no sweating, nausea, cramps, redness, incoherent speech and thoughts). Seek immediate 
assistance if symptoms occur. Wear loose, light-colored clothing.

This event is being timed with the AMB Chip timing system. All chips MUST be returned to the 
volunteers at the finishline or you will be billed for $80.00.

T-shirt to all registered participants.

A variety of food and drink will be available to participants.

An all you can eat breakfast will be held from 7-9:30 AM at Gateway Elementary School, 1328 Commerce 
Lakes Dr. Signs will direct you from the race site to the school, which will also be the site of the awards 
ceremony.
