EVENT DESCRIPTION
The Frogman Triathlon is an olympic distance race that will be an annual event to raise 
money for the Naval Special Warfare Foundation. 100% of the net proceeds will go directly to
the NSWF which supports members and their families of the U.S. Navy SEALs and Navy SWCC. 

A Tri-expo will be held in the host hotel next to packet pickup on March 20,2010 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
 
RACE SCHEDULE
Transition will open at 5 a.m. on race morning, Sunday March 21, 2010  for athletes to be body marked and 
prepare their equipment. Transition area will close at 6:45 a.m. and the first swim wave will start at 7 a.m. 
Bikes must be placed into transition no later than 6 p.m. on Saturday March 20, 2010. Law enforcement will 
remain in the transition area over night to protect the athletes property. 
 
SWIM WAVES
Swim waves will consist of no more than 100 persons in each wave and will start on 3 minute intervals. 
Waves will be announced at packet pickup with cap color and start times. IF OCEAN CONDITIONS ARE 
CONSIDERED TOO DANGEROUS FOR A SAFE SWIM, THE DECISION TO CANCEL THE SWIM REMAINS 
WITH THE RACE DIRECTOR AND THE SWIM COURSE COORDINATOR. If the swim is cancelled, a 2 mile 
run on the hard packed beach will be substituted and started according to swim wave criteria. If beach 
conditions have also deteriorated due to tidal conditions, the run will move onto the paved roadway.
 
AGE GROUPS AND CATEGORIES
Awards will be given to the overall male and female; overall male and female masters(over 40); three deep 
in each category. Male and female age group categories as follows: 

15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+,
Physically challenged; Clydesdale (200+ lbs.)<30, 30-49, >50; 
Athena (150+ lbs.)<30, 30-49, >50; 

Military. Relay teams may have two or three members in male, female or co-ed. Physically challenged relays may
includeone or two able body athletes.

ALL FINISHERS WILL RECEIVE A COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL. 
 
ENTRY FEE
Entry fee for an individual is $100.00 thru 01-31-10. Relay teams are $150.00 thru 01-31-10. Late 
registration from 02-01-10 thru 03-16-10 at midnight will be $120.00 individual and $175.00 for relay teams. 

Entry fees are a donation to the Naval Special Warfare Foundation and are therefore, non-refundable. USAT 
memberships may be purchased at packet pickup on March 20, 2010 and are in addition to and seperate 
from the above listed race fees. 

Online registration will close If the race capacity is reached before the above 
listed closing date.
 
REGISTRATION
Registration is limited to 800 competitors and completed online only. No mail-in or on-site registration is 
available. All competitors must be active USAT members or purchase a one day membership at packet 
pickup.
 
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The 1500 meter swim will be in the Atlantic Ocean, the 40K bike will take place on the city streets of Daytona 
Beach Shores and adjacent communities, ending with a 10K run out-and-back along SR AIA. Transition will 
be located in the Frank Rendon Park  2705 S. Atlantic Ave, Daytona Beach Shores, FL, which is next door to 
the host hotel. This is a USAT Sanctioned race and all USAT rules will apply. Wetsuits will be legal as 
directed by USAT rules.

RACE EXPO
On Saturday March 20, 2010, Plan B Cycling will host a triathlon expo and offer minor repairs, adjustments to 
race equipment and sales for last minute needs. The expo will be located inside the host hotel, Shores Spa 
and Resort along with packet pickup. For a complete list of companies participating in the expo, visit the 
event website. As the the race date gets closer, the list of vendors will be more accurate.
