Ocean Deck Winter Duathlon

Race starts at 4:00 PM.

The Ocean Deck Winter Duathlon is a FAT TIRE event consisting of a 2 mile BEACH run, 8 mile FAT TIRE 
bike and a 2 mile BEACH run. The event will start and finish in front of the Ocean Deck Restaurant and takes 
place on the hard packed sands of Daytona Beach. This is a USAT Sanctioned event and all USAT rules 
apply. Helmets must be worn during the bike portion.

Race will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 4 p.m.;  packet pick up and check-in will begin at 2:30 
p.m.  This is an AFTERNOON event, culminating with the awards ceremony inside the Ocean Deck and a 
post event party. 

Each of the 2 mile runs will be an out and back format, going in the opposite direction of the out and back 
bike course. Transition will be located in front of the Ocean Deck Restaurant.

Entry fees: Individuals are $35.00, relay teams $75.00. Day of race fees: Individuals $40.00, relay teams 
$80.00. Each entrant will receive a T-shirt and Ocean Deck discount coupons. Awards will be given to the top 
male and female overall, top male and female masters and  3 deep in all categories. USAT membership 
forms will be on site at check in if you need to purchase a 1 year license or one day. It is $39.00 a year for 
adults, $10.00 for one day and $5.00 a year for anyone under 18.

Age groups are determined by USAT guidelines with some additional categories added. 13-15, 16-19, 20-
24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+, Clydesdale and 
Athena, Relays can be  2 or 3 persons: all male, all female and co-ed. All entrants must be USAT members 
and show proof of membership at check-in or purchase a one day event  license at check-in.

From outside the Daytona area, take the International Speedway Blvd./U.S. 92 east to SR AIA and turn left
(north). Make the first right onto Ocean Ave and the Ocean Deck will be on the right side of the street, 127 S. 
Ocean Ave. Daytona Beach, Fl. 32118. Parking is available at several Ocean Deck parking lots or a public 
parking lot at the end of Ocean Ave.(metered). 

Come early on Saturday the 20th and take part in the WINTER JAM surfing festival and Volkswagen Car 
Show taking place just north of the Ocean Deck on the boardwalk all weekend.
