Ocean Deck Tri by the Sea

This is a FAT TIRE triathlon that will consist of a 1/4 mile ocean swim, 8 mile FAT TIRE bike on the beach 
and a 3 mile run on the beach. The event will take place on the hard packed sands of Daytona and requires 
the use of off-road tires. This is a USAT Sanctioned event and requires proof of USAT membership. Proof of 
membership at time of packet pickup with photo ID, or purchase of USAT membership on site is mandatory. 
FAT TIRE bikes include mountain bike, hybrid, cruiser or any frame with over-size tires. Road bike tires are 
not allowed.

The race will be held on June 6, 2010 at 7a.m. Transition area will be open at 6a.m.

From I-95, travel east on International Speedway Blvd. to SR AIA, turn left, then make first right onto Ocean 
Ave. Park in any Ocean Deck  parking lot, or adjacent City parking lots.

Early registration prior to June 5 is $40 individual--$65 for relay teams. 
Late registration on June 5 at packet pickup is $45 individual--$80 for relay teams.
Day of race is $50 individual--$90 for relay teams.

USAT membership is $39 for one year, $10 for one day and $5 for kids <18.
USAT allows payment with a credit card for one year membership only.
One day membership is cash or check only.
USAT forms will be available at packet pickup and on race day.

Male and Female: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-
69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, >85. 
Relay teams may have 2 or 3 persons: all male, all female or co-ed.
Clydesdale men (200+ lbs.) 39 and under; 40 and over.
Athena women (150+lbs.) 39 and under; 40 and over.
First timer (novice) male and female.

Awards will be given to the Overall male and female; Masters male and female; Novice male and female; 3 
deep in each age group, Clydesdale, Athena and each relay division.
All competitors will be eligible for numerous door prizes. 

Packet pickup will be held on June 5, 2010 from 10 a.m. til 5 p.m. at:

They are located behind Moes Restaurant at the intersection of Herbert St. and Clyde Morris.

Packets are also available for pick up on race day at the Ocean Deck.
Timing chips will be distributed on race morning.

Each participant will receive an event shirt. Fruit and water will be at the finish. Water will be located every 
mile on the run. The swim and bike/run course will be patrolled by Volusia County Ocean Lifeguards/EMT's.
